In a video named “Indian Medical System | Case Study | Dr. Vivek Bindra” that was released on December 29, 2017, Vivek Bindra stated the phrase (“Doctors… are bloody murderers in white coats”). This caused a rift in the medical community because so many of these doctors refuted this assertion.

Legal action was sought against Vivek by a number of medical groups. Dr. Sanjeev Gupta immediately filed a FIR against him with IMA Jaipur. The FIR claimed that the comment broke various provisions of the Indian Constitution’s IT Act. The DMA and the Indian Medical Association both sent a defamation notice at the same time, requesting that Vivek remove the video immediately.
